Question: what about buttons with a thread in the center in a different color? It's a tiny detail but will they count as one of the rainbow colors? (I don't like recoloring elements, I feel I will destroy the designer's work...)
Yachats is pronounced /yah-hots/, despite Siri's best efforts. It's where I live--about 700 residents, smack-dab in the center of the Oregon Coast (Pacific NorthWest in the US). While the village is actually located right on the coast, there's a road following the river, dotted with farms in the floodplains. Every August certain farms open their doors to sell directly to the public--anything from sides of beef to cacti. It's one of my favorite events of the year!
I knew what my subject was right away! https://the-lilypad.com/forum/galleries/day17-temperature-blanket-v-2.377985/
Rainbow page with individual elements in the colors of red, yellow, pink, green, purple, orange, and blue ... The individual rainbow elements are my scattered beads all in those colors Thanks Justine for a fun challenge!!!
If you are able to use buttons that have no thread or a white or black thread, they would be perfect. Extra details like thread would come under the last requirement as well. (And I understand what you're sayng about the designer's work but if you really need a yellow button and you don't have one, that might be the quickest and easiest way just to pass the challenge)
I have to head to bed soon, it's nearly midnight here so I'm not going to be able to comment on everyone's pages yet but I want to please remind people that I need to be able to see the white or black background and all 7 colours need to be distinct and visible. That's red, yellow, pink, green, purple, orange, blue. Thanks
FUN! But, I'm glad I read closely because I learned and always followed the basic ROYGBIV rule, which doesn't include pink. So, glad I read that detail I've never done this, but this sounds like a fun one! If I can squeak out a page before we leave for FL today I will, otherwise I'll be creating like a maniac next week when I play catch up. But if catch up is what I do, I'm sure I'll have tons of cool pic opportunities at Universal this weekend!
I love this challenge! I LOVE bright colours. I FINALLY got to start scrapping these photos of my almost 18 year old son from when we lived in Ethiopia when he was in Preschool! This is the Preschool's playground! It was awesome, especially considering we lived in Africa! Thanks so much for an awesome challenge!
What a fun challenge! I LOVE that these challenges stretch our creativity, but give us the ability to scrap in our ‘own’ style. Such a perfect pair! I know what I’m gonna do... now to go shopping!! (Pretty sure my hubs loves MOC... lol) By the way, the pages already posted are stunning!!
