1. How long have you been scrapping? And how long at TLP? Scrapping since 1998, digital since 2005 and at TLP for 7 years this month 2. Digi, paper, hybrid, all of the above? 100% digi now 3. Favorite thing to scrap? Everyday things 4. Least favorite thing to scrap? Nothing springs to mind 5. 2019 scrapping goal? just to scrap more consistently, TLP challenges more often
1. How long have you been scrapping? I started in september 2014, I was on sickleave and was roaming the internet, feeling bored... Happened to stumble on Creative Live, where there was a live streaming of a scrapbooking course... the rest is history And how long at TLP? since september 2018, I followed NBK design 2. Digi, paper, hybrid, all of the above? Digi only 3. Favorite thing to scrap? Trips and old family photo's. Hopefully there will be grandbabies soon... 4. Least favorite thing to scrap? everyday things, living alone means no interesting subject to scrap.. and journaling.. I don't like journaling 5. 2019 scrapping goal? Since I only started in 2014, I still have a lot of catching up to do... I am not working chronologicaly... I just scrap what I feel like or what fits a challenge But I hope to finish at least 1 trip this year!
1. How long have you been scrapping? And how long at TLP? Paper Scrapping since 2000, took a break for two years (2007-2009), then got hooked on digi in 2009. I've shopped at The Lilypad since 1/2012 but I've been a member of the forum/community since 1/2013 - I did a few pages of the very first MOC but never finished. 2. Digi, paper, hybrid, all of the above? I do it all! I love Digi and do that most often. But I still have all of my paper stash. It's kind of ridiculous! I love dabbling in Hybrid - especially for Traveler's Notebook spreads. And I also love making Pocket Letters - we have an awesome Lilypad Letter Swap every month here at the Pad if anyone is interested! Here's our timeline & more info! We are taking theme ideas for the next swap - February now. And I will have a poll up to vote on Feb themes by next weekend (1/12)! Feel free to message me if you have questions! 3. Favorite thing to scrap? My kids/my dogs. But with one gone (kid) and the other leaving in less than a year (again kid, not dogs )- I'm finding my scrapping content/themes shifting greatly. My fave thing to photograph is nature - so my scrapping will probably head in that direction going forward. 4. Least favorite thing to scrap? I'm another who is really bad at completing albums, especially vacation albums. I get overwhelmed with all the photos and just don't enjoy it. I prefer to scrap what I want when I want. 5. 2019 scrapping goal? Just enjoy the hobby and have fun. No pressure, no stress!
Thank you for starting this Laura!! I love learning more about people's scrap history! 1. How long have you been scrapping? And how long at TLP? Ballpark - about 26 years. The first thing I remember paper scrapping is my bridal shower photos Been at TLP since it was a teeny baby - so before 2007, before there was ever a gallery or forum!2. Digi, paper, hybrid, all of the above? Started with paper, moved to digi, and still occasionally do a little bit of hybrid3. Favorite thing to scrap? My girls But I'm also branching out into inanimate items, and photoless pages4. Least favorite thing to scrap? Ha! Myself 5. 2019 scrapping goal? To scrap more than 2018 (which won't be hard!)
What an awesome way to discover scrapbooking! I found CreativeLIVE because of photography and spent many hours with them in photography and business courses around 2013 and 2014, and I know they began to have some scrapbooking classes, I sometimes wished they had more advanced stuff. Maybe they do now; I haven't visited CL in over a year and not much the year or two before that either.
1. How long have you been scrapping? And how long at TLP? Paper scrapping and crafting began with Stampin' Up back in 2006-ish. TLP: Sep 2, 2012. 2. Digi, paper, hybrid, all of the above? I am 90% digital. But I have a paper fetish. My love of paper tends to involve mixed media art and journals when I have the time to get messy. I also LOVE collage art and cut & paste paper art. @jenn mccabe hosting the Letter Swap is awesome! When I can, I participate in that. I love the format for Traveler’s Notebook. But, I don’t have a very good printer to print TLP papers etc. And, I did enjoy Heart of Scripture. I would do more hybrid if time allowed. It does not. 3. Favorite thing to scrap? Mushrooms. I looked up the definition of scrapbook, because I gravitate to art journaling. Scrapbooks: a book of blank pages for sticking clippings, drawings, or pictures in. Okay. I do that. Its official. I am a scrapbooker! You'll find the majority of my scrapbooking involves selfies and plant (macro-ish) photos. Mushrooms. I don’t really do heritage scrapbooking. I am not preserving memories. The art of scrapbooking for me is art journaling and art therapy. It helps get me back to center. Mushrooms...did I mention those? 4. Least favorite thing to scrap? NA. I love to record and relive experiences. Thus, no topic is safe from scrapbooking. I don’t have children or grandchildren. Family is not close by (just hubby and doggie). Thus, heritage scrapping seldom shows up in my work (but its not because I don’t like it, I just don’t have a source of material). 5. 2019 scrapping goal? Where to begin? First, stay up to date on my CT requirements. I consider it a true blessing to be part of many Creative Teams and I don’t want to let my designers down. Second, there are two styles I want to dabble more in. The first is brining cut & paste into digital. My layouts HappyBirthday and StealYourSparkle are examples of that. Its being inspired by a designers kit...but imagining I have a pair of scissor in hand and I’m cutting out my own elements. Photoshop scissors! I love it! Next, I want to make better, artistic use of text in layouts. I have a Pinterest board, Type Text, that provides many examples of what I’m getting at. Connected is an example I created, inspired by Type Text. Yes, I can be verbose. For those who read all of this, thank you
1. How long have you been scrapping? And how long at TLP? I've been scrapping since 2011. The first period i was active at TLP was the MOC in 2017. 2. Digi, paper, hybrid, all of the above? Mostly digi, sometimes paper, too 3. Favorite thing to scrap? My kids And my bro's vizsla. 4. Least favorite thing to scrap? Probably food. I also have difficulties with finishing travel albums And don't like photos with too much people. Probably because i generally can't handle "crowded" pages. 5. 2019 scrapping goal? First of all, finish MOC again. Then participate on more challenges. It would be great to finish an album at least about one of our holidays.
I hope you don’t beat yourself up, so to speak. You are a staple to TLP...so much behind the scenes work. Thank you, and to all the admins, for that!
Jenn, I love watching you bloom and grow in the hybrid arena. Your TN’s are spectacular. And, I can’t thank you enough for hosting the Letter Swap!
1. How long have you been scrapping? I started scrapbooking before my son was born I think, so over 13 year. But I had a big gap a few years ago. And how long at TLP? Just over a year, since November 2017 2. Digi, paper, hybrid, all of the above? My introduction to scrapbooking was a hybrid project at church. I went straight to digital scrapbooking for myself using a desktop publisher I was already familiar with. I do hybrid for gifted albums, but it's been a while since I did one of those. 3. Favourite thing to scrap? cute quotes and conversations from the children 4. Least favourite thing to scrap? photos that have lost their story 5. 2019 scrapping goal? I don't have any, other than finishing MOC. I got behind with P52 last year so have that to catch-up on eventually. It got stressful keeping up, so I won't do it again this year. I might do monthly summary styled pages for the miscellaneous photos, but not sure.
Thanks for sharing the Pinterest board! I'm definitely following it! I love playing with text, but I don't do it nearly enough! It adds such an interesting element to a page.
1. How long have you been scrapping? And how long at TLP? I started scrapping in 2005, when my second son was born 12 weeks early. The NICU encouraged us to scrap our experiences. In some cases, that was the only thing that parents took home, so sad. I started digi scrapping in 2008 with a couple CTs at other sites. I started at the Lilypad in June of 2010, I think I followed Rachel Young here when she started designing at TLP. 2. Digi, paper, hybrid, all of the above? I started with paper in 2005 but didn't finish any albums. I quickly moved to digi because no mess and that fabulous undo button! 3. Favorite thing to scrap? My kids! 4. Least favorite thing to scrap? Myself or art-journaling style layouts. 5. 2019 scrapping goal? Keep caught up with scrapping current photos and try to scrap some of my older photos that didn't make it into albums yet. Maybe try to finish up the last few paper pages that I have photos and papers set aside already.
1. How long have you been scrapping? And how long at TLP? I joined Tangie's Art Journal Caravan in 2014, but I had been playing with photo manipulation for 3 or 4 years before that. Not really scrapping, but for posting on my blog, etc. The Caravan really got me started - first as journaling and gradually into scrapping photos. I followed Tangie and Rebecca here in 2017, I think? Love this community! 2. Digi, paper, hybrid, all of the above? Oh, definitely digital. I really do not need more papers and glue laying around! 3. Favorite thing to scrap? My dogs, I guess. Working my way through old family photos which are fun to scrap and so satisfying to get memories recorded. 4. Least favorite thing to scrap? Journaling challenges! I really prefer to let the pictures do most of the talking! 5. 2019 scrapping goal? Like most of you I have more than one goal for this year: 1. Scrap family photos for a heritage book for my son. 2. Get our personal pix scanned so they can be scrapped. 3. Participate in TLP monthly challenges. 4. [Most important!] Finish MOC 7!!!
1. How long have you been scrapping? And how long at TLP? Digitally since 2006. I joined TLP in January 2015, I just celebrated my 4th anniversary here. I didn't participate in MOC that year, but I've completed MOC for the past 3 years. 2. Digi, paper, hybrid, all of the above? Digi. Although I did participate in Jen Evangelista's ATC card swap way back when and my contributions were always hybrid. 3. Favorite thing to scrap? I have a love for vintage pics and super-vintage pics. I also enjoy art journal pages. 4. Least favorite thing to scrap? Current photos of me in them, getting old... 5. 2019 scrapping goal? Get pages done in 2018 into books. DYD 2018 will be in its own book (52 pages) Participate in challenges here.
Awww. Thanks so much for that @ArmyGrl - I guess I always knew I'd come back around to doing paper/hybrid stuff so that's why I kept everything? I also do hybrid with my planners too. That actually is what got me back into playing with paper stuff again! Looking forward to Feb's Letter Swap .... yay!
Your Connected AJ page is probably one of my fave AJ pages ever. You and Rachel Jeffries make a perfect pair!
