Sarita did footbal at some stage in primary, but I think football here is different? or is it soccer? LOL am always confused with sports!!!
    but that is great news!!!!

Thanks again :) and I want to see Martian!!!!!!!! I need to renew my cinema card, I have a card for disability that Sarita doesn't pay when she comes with me... (or anyone who comes with me, is just I usually go with her)
I havent been able to do cinema in a long time, but I have been able to get around better lately, so ...I think I will try!!!!!

Happy Birthday to her!!!!!!!!!! that is such a beautiful age!!!!!!

I love LOVE interior design..... I even contemplated doing a course after the operations went wrong but the course was so expensive, I kept putting it of, and then I couldn't attend the classes....
It shows in your pages...you know...I would LOVE to have my house done by you!!!!!!
I know I asked this before...but ...are you in the UK by any chance?

you know what... I do believe in miracles....
I have a friend who was given 8 months to live in 1983 ...to make a very long story short, she said she wasn't planning on dying, that she KNEW that God had other planes for her, and she would just fight.... she died this year, I think it was February... at 74 years old....

with people, you can talk, express yourself and say what is going on and I believe the heart and will power, faith, hope , together with love can make miracles indeed.....I think the love you gave her probably gave her the hope, or God sees you and knows it wasn't time to take her from you?
whatever way you look at it.... I'm so so happy you shared this with us...
give her a cuddle from me :heartlub:heartlub:heartlub

    .

fingers crossed!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! let us know!!!!!! :heartlub

wOw in all!!!! I am trying to get better so I can have a weekend aaway with the British scrappers!!! much needed in the flesh interaction with non teenagers LOL

and how amazing your husband winning money!!!!!
My parents once won a TV on a tele show.... but a quiz program somehow is a lot better!!!!!! was it on a special theme? or general knowledge?

great for all this positivity... it is keeping me string , love you guys!!!!! :beat

Congratulations to you and Sarita. It's really great to hear how well you are doing, and this is a wonderful opportunity for Sarita to show her stuff. Excellent all around.

Yay for all the positive happy things this week! Congrats to Sarita, Cynthia and to you!! Best thing that happened to me all week was getting mail from my mortgage company. They review my escrow account this time every year, and this year, due to some changes in insurance, we had an overage and not only did I get a nice check from them, but my mortgage payment is dropping over $100 a month :)

    Yay Sarita!

I'd say it was watching my DD compete in a skating competition this past weekend. I just love to watch her skate. She's so happy when she does!
    (and she got a 1st and a 2nd, too)

    Congrats to Sarita!

My greatest thing this week is that yesterday we finally got the ok to make the appointment to get Clara's braces off!! With her two phases of orthodontia work and my son sandwiched in-between the two, I have been going to the orthodontist approximately every 6 weeks for FIVE years straight! I love our orthodontist, but I'm ready to have a break! :-)

Getting gifted $100USD by a family friend for my graduation expenses - not only does this pay for regalia hire but a mini studio session with the graduation photographer. I still will buy a copy of the capping photo from my own money.

Love hearing the positives. It makes my heart happy. We should make this a tradition!

For me it was tie between Arabella making the Elementary Honors Chorus (which she REALLY wanted and hasn't before) and purchasing tickets for the FLORIDA GAME for Saturday :woot (full disclosure: we got the tickets last week, hehe)

ROAD TRIP PLANNED with DH and 2nd son (his only football bi-week and it happens to be my birthday). Can't Wait to get back to The Swamp!

Now, I know why I hadn't really had the greatest thing that happened... it hadn't happened.

Yesterday, I received an unsolicited raise at work! Woo Hooo.... I work for a multi million dollar mom and pop company... and they aren't very generous with raises. Plus, I have to actually ask for it... it's not like we get a yearly review.

Last year was a whole debacle, which would be another thread. (Like really bad - Basic story - I sent my mom and email about how I applied at a university for a job and I hadn't had a raise in a LONG time... but I accidentally sent it to my boss! Wrong name when typing the To!) It turned out ok, lol!

So, to have this year, it just was just awesome to have it show up in my paycheck!

Well, today I got to go to the zoo with my daughter for a field trip. And the elephant was feeling particularly playful! He went into the water and splashed around for a while, and then went all the way underwater and did a HANDSTAND! His hind feet were sticking up out of the water! We laughed so hard! It was a great moment, and one I won't soon be able to repeat. I'm thankful we were there at that exact time to be able to experience that.

I got to have lunch with my daughter Rachel's family and then we all piled into the car for his soccer game (my first time to attend his game). He's 7 so the game was pretty exciting if the boys just were able to kick the ball or stop a ball when they were the goalie. Yesterday, I picked up my granddaughter from Kindergarten and she gave me a tour of her school and I met her teacher. So my good things had to do with grandkids.

Well, it's been super crazy here this past week... our hockey season is in full swing and we don't stop until the end of March. One of the best things I experienced this week was watching my youngest son score the very first goal of the game and the very first goal of the season for his team! It was so amazing and such a beauty goal! He even told me afterwards that he had tears of joy! He was so proud and he's worked so hard to improve his skills. He deserved every bit of that goal! Proud hockey mama moment. :)

The greatest thing that happened was also one of the scariest. We had sent my brother in law to a doctor in Alaska. Last I heard he was at the pharmacy picking up his meds and then heading to the doctors so they could monitor him while he took them. He's nearly homeless, had been really sick with the flu, many health ailments...

Anyway, after two days we hadn't heard from him even after calling and texting him many times. His daughters hadn't heard from him, so I started calling and seeing if someone couldn't go check on him. I finally got some info from the doctors office that he had to be taken by ambulance to the hospital, and he was in ICU on a ventilator. I had to call his daughters so that they could get there asap (they're about 3 hours away from where he was). We were all preparing for the worst. I was making emergency plans to travel up to Alaska, packing my bags, etc. Come to find out he had pneumonia, but was now stable. His girls got there and took care of him, and he was able to get off the ventilator. The great news is that even though he's still in the hospital, we won't be planning a funeral right now. He's going to have a place to live now too because his daughters finally saw how bad things were and saw they have to do something.
