August is here...and it's a Monday again. What do you have planned for this week?

It's our last week of summer vacation, so it's time to head home. We've spent most of the summer traveling but the kids need to get back in their school sleep schedules. I wanted to head home over the weekend but I have a terrible case of bronchitis and wasn't up to driving. So, my plans for this week are to feel better and make the long trek home. Really looking forward to it!

My daughter is coming home this evening and staying until Thursday evening. She is bringing her roommate and they are heading to see the Harry Potter stuff at Universal Studios tomorrow. While she's here, I'll get to spend some time chatting with her and taking them out to dinner, I would guess. On Wednesday, my mom is coming over and we are all going to have lunch and do some dorm shopping for her brother. He comes home the day before he moves into the dorm so is ok with us doing the shopping stuff for him. I already hit Target pretty hard yesterday but there are still SO MANY things he'll need. He is getting antsy to come home after being gone all summer long.

    Packing and house hunting.

    I know y'all are jealous.

Seriously so many other things I'd rather do than move. :(

I really only have until Wednesday planned...after that I can figure out the rest of the week :)

Well today is a holiday here but I am going in to work for 2pm. I've been working since Thursday and it's been quite the brutal weekend! For the rest of the week, Caleb will be getting a filling tomorrow which he is very nervous about. We have a few play dates and I of course have work. Friday night we are going to a friend's party so we are looking forward to some adult time. Have a great week everyone!

Last week of Summer here, too and lots to do. Errands. I have an extra day of work because of all the last minute parents needing physicals, hehe. My big boys are slated for community service for 2 days and the little ones are going to swim and be lazy :).

We have a wedding this weekend, then our life will change for better or worse next week with school.

it's a holiday here too. my parents are here til wednesday... I'm already sad... two weeks has gone by way too fast!

my hubbies uncle passed away very unexpectedly so we'll be going to a memorial on wednesday or thursday. he was an amazing guy, always happy and so very caring. even tho we only saw him every couple of years, I still can't believe he is gone and miss him terribly already. I am happy tho, that he finally gets to be with his mother who passed away 10 years ago right around this time... they were very close and he was by her side when she passed.

you know what was really weird? I was actually thinking of hubbies mother the moment the phone rang and she was calling to tell her the news.

nothing else planned... it will be a hard week for sure.

We actually have lots going on this week! I can hardly believe it. :giggle

My stepson's first day of middle school was today, and he has his first scrimmage tonight on the traveling football team he earned a spot on.

My daughter's school's open house is tonight, and then she has her FIRST DAY OF KINDERGARTEN Wednesday. We are going up to my folks' house this weekend to celebrate her 5th birthday with a 'hulu' (luau) party.

My son will be 3 months tomorrow, and I'm looking forward to doing his monthly photo shoot. :heartlub

I'm also guesting for this lil' scrapbook site you may have heard of, so I have lots of scrapping on my agenda after all of the aforementioned events happen during the day & I get everyone to bed and can scrap. :giggle

Rain in forecast, but we are going hiking tomorrow, to the creek on Wed, pool on Thursday and Saturday and...Friday we may do a waterpark! Happy week and then back to the schedule of school!

we have a very low key week - in some ways it's our first true "summer" week....we started early morning swim practices the day school got out, and then last week we were away, just as swim ended.

it is 3:30pm here and my kids are still in their pjs! i figure i might as well let them while I still can! fortunately we are out the entire month of august, and it should be low key all month, including our beach trip at the end. :)

LOL you guys are going back to school and our summer break just started! Though, the family has been sick and haven't been able to enjoy it yet. Mostly this week is getting ready to go on vacation, so taking the kids to the dr in the hopes they'll be feeling better by the weekend. Then there is laundry and packing... and hopefully hang out with friends on Wednesday!!!

Today was a holiday for us and weather yucky with dark skies and thunderstorm warnings.
I am hoping to have my dishwasher installed either tomorrow or Wednesday and I *think* I have a massage booked for Wednesday as well. Depending on weather my son will be going to Cedar Point in Ohio Wednesday with a friend.
Thursday I am hoping to finally paint my dining area. . . . . . .going for red!
Friday I have a specialist appointment and then my son's baseball tournament this weekend.

Well, it's Tuesday but my plans for the week are pretty much the same all week. About two years ago I re-did my entire basement except for the stairs. My hubby and a friend of ours were going to replace the stairs. That never happened, so about a week ago I decided to take matters into my own hands... so yes, I am building a new set of stairs. Yikes! I spend all weekend working on it, getting supplies and then dismantling the current stairs and then painting the walls and the stair rails and the floor. Today I went to Home Depot on my lunch break and bought the last two boards and hopefully by the end of the week I will have everything cut, painted and reassembled again. Currently I've been getting in and out of the basement with a step ladder. Ugh! So far it's coming together just like I hoped it would, but I am SO ready to have normal stairs again. Then I'll have to spend next week catching up on laundry!

Busy week here. I'm editing wedding photos right now when I really just want to edit my own photos :)
My old laptop died on me last night which I really miss b/c I use it to watch shows/movies while I scrap/edit on my pc. I have to figure out if it's worth spending to get a new fan (which might not even be the only problem) or just buy another used one which doesn't need a lot of bells and whistles. I'll be looking at Craigs List this wk to see if anything cheap comes up. For the cost of repairs, it's probably better to just buy another used one.
