I realized this morning that today is Breakfast Club Day... "Saturday March 24, 1984, Shermer High School, Shermer IL". I don't think I could even count the number of times I watched this movie back in the day. I'm dating myself, but I was a senior in high school in 1984, and the movie came out my freshman year of college. When it came out on VHS, my roommate and I watched this movie so many times that we both could recite ever single word from beginning to end. It's probably one of the most nostalgic movies to me. Today, I very seldom watch a movie more than once. But I guess that is one I will always connect with.

Do you have a movie that is just pure nostalgia?

Grease! I swear, if I saw it for the first time today, I would seriously question why this movie even exist. But the 12 year old me inside of me loves it. I know every line, can sing along to every song. I do cringe a bit when I see it today, but still I love it. I had such a crush on Danny Zuko (not really John Travolta, I loved Danny Zuko LOL). I even had a framed picture of him on my night stand. LOL

I did a layout back in 2012 about my favorite movies. Looking at it, I can say that all 6 movies are still the top of my list. I have the DVD's for 5 of the 6!

I'm really dating myself but the movie that is the most nostalgic for me is "Palm Springs Weekend" from the 1960's. I was in my early teens when it came out. Any time it was on TV I had to watch it. Gonna have to watch it since it has been awhile!

My favorite movie of all time though is the only movie I have ever seen in the theater more than once. "Backdraft" from the 1990's. I've watched it on TV multiple times and have the DVD and I still cry at the ending every single time. It touched me so much because at the time I was dating a volunteer firefighter whose dad was the fire chief in my town. My uncle was also a fireman and his son was a volunteer firefighter.

My list of favorites span 5 decades... 2 from the 60's, 1 from the 70's, 1 from the 80's, 1 from the 90's and 1 from the early 2000's.

I never knew the date of that movie, but it's kind fun because it's my hubby's birthday (different year). I loved the breakfast club and watched it a bunch of times. I actually just re-watched it a couple months ago just for fun.

My favorites to re-watch when I was in high school was Aladdin. My sister and I watched that a bunch and enjoyed singing along. Now I love the Bourne series movies and watch those a bunch too.

I think I’ve watched breakfast club once?

Newsies is probably most nostalgic for me from my childhood.

17 Again is the movie I’ve probably watched over and over the most.

I really spend a lot of time watching movies and TV series. Why don't I scrap about that more? It's really a huge chunk of my everyday life. Minimum 3 hrs per day (way more when my hand is ok and I can knit!). Really should document it more.

I never watched Breakfast Club back in the day and when I saw it as an adult, I was kinda Meh about it. I think I missed the moment. :) My nostalgia movies are from when I was a bit younger -- the original Willy Wonka, the Sound of Music, Raiders of the Lost Ark, the first Star Wars movies. The only movie I remember seeing repeatedly in HS was Poltergeist! :D

I’ve watched Fried Green Tomatoes several times. I love how it depicts such a wonderful variety of strong women at many stages of life.

Backdraft is such a great movie!!

I loved Aladdin!! I'm trying to think if I've ever seen any of the Bourne series, maybe I should watch.

Ohhh I had forgotten about Newsies and I don't think I've ever watched 17 Again.

I watch more series than I do movies. It's doesn't make a lot of sense but I have a really hard time sitting and watching a movie, but I can watch 3 or 4 episodes of a series in a row lol. I'm currently knitting a temperature blanket and I sit and watch my show while I do my row every day.

I remember seeing Raiders and Star Wars in theaters...super nostalgic!

    Such a great movie!!!

Wizard of Oz is one of my all time favorites!! I have a bunch of memorabilia around my office and have picked out a couple of small tattoos from it that I'd like to get one day.

I have never been able to watch the whole Wizard of Oz movie. As a kid I would leave the room when the flying monkeys came on screen since they frightened me. As an adult I have tried to watch it and just can't get through the whole thing. I've seen bits and pieces of it but never the whole thing at one time.

I recently saw the Wizard of Oz on the "big screen." One of the movie theaters in my area shows an old classic movies about once a month. April's movie is Gone with the Wind. Am planning to see it.

I've been watching it since I was a little girl. I remember the days when it would just come on tv once a year. I don't remember ever being scared of the monkeys, but I know lots who've said they were.

I really enjoyed Gone with the Wind when I watched it years ago, and shortly afterwards watched Carol Burnett's parody "Went with the Wind" which I found to be hilarious, especially after watching the original movie. Carol Burnett is amazing!

We've watched the whole Harry Potter series several times, mostly because my oldest loves the movies so much. They are good even the 3rd, 4th, or 5th time watching.
