So with all the talk of colours in my MOC day 17 thread and Pantone's recent Colour of the Year release, I have 2 quick questions for you today (before I go to sleep LOL)

    1. What's your favourite colour at the moment and how is it represented in your life? :love
(Like do you wear it regularly or have you painted a room in your house or have a car that colour?)

    2. What do you think of Living Coral?
(Pantone says it's " An animating and life-affirming coral hue with a golden undertone that energizes and enlivens with a softer edge" :hummm)

I still love pink, have pink in artwork around the house, but especially in my bathroom with it's succulent theme.

I like the coral color, its warm and happy - but not for me with it's orange undertone.

    1. Blue has always been my favorite color. Darker shades rather than lighter. Teal is right behind that!
    2. I'm unsure about the Coral. I think it looks nice with Navy though, lol!

I'd say blue is my favorite color currently.... like a teal blue or turquoise. I love lots of bright blue colors though. And hot pink is a very close second. I have LOTS of clothes in those colors. Probably too many of those colors and not enough other variety. :giggle

That coral is pretty and I don't always love coral because it's almost pink, but not so I get annoyed that it's not just pink. Lol.

Coral is one of my (2) nail polish colors. In fact, the lady who does my nails makes fun of me because I will totally fall into a rut of getting coral / tiffany blue / coral / tiffany blue every other time forever. Which is why they are currently black, lol.

My favorite color is the tiffany blue. Yesterday I got a new bag in that color and I'm madly in love with it.

    1. I have always liked purple. Not violet or lavender, but a nice deep purple--not the Ultra Violet Pantone chose last year, Itellyouwhat. I like a nice jewel tone for clothing, though finding it in my (tall) size is hard. As for decor...nope, not a lot of purple in the house, but I do love the Offshore Mist by Behr that I've now painted 3 rooms of my house. I guess that's my fave decorating color right now. :) Most of my home is gray and analogous blue-greens. (The house is an open floor plan so I wanted colors that can "carry" through the house, esp. the first floor, but not feel repetitive.) I wanted soothing and relaxing. Jewel tones in large doses can be dramatic and gorgeous, but my DH isn't very dramatic, and since he lives here too, apparently I'm supposed to take his opinion into consideration???

    2. I like coral. Their description is a bit over the top, but that makes sense coming from Pantone, and there is a certain "liveliness" to the color. I want to repaint a wooden floor table lamp. I was thinking kelly green (like the bottom pic in this lo) but now I'm also thinking coral. I already have the green in my house (umm, refer back to the LO lol) so should I try something new? A can of spray paint isn't expensive so I could try one color and see what I think.

My fave colors are pink and sparkle. :giggle I wear lots of (mostly hot) pink and rose gold and glitter/sparkle. My winter purse this year is hot pink.

That coral is nice but it's not generally a color I can wear with my skin tone.

My favorite color hasn't changed in about 30 years: yellow. But it needs to be a cheerful yellow. Mustard yellow is icky.
However, I almost never wear yellow. (I mostly only wear blue, because that's my best color.) I own one yellow tee shirt that's kind of a darker shade of cheerful yellow. If I had more time I'd go find a photo of me in the shirt. I think I've had the shirt for 20 years; it's the only one I've ever seen that's a shade of yellow I think I look ok wearing.

I also haven't decorated in cheerful yellow. But I do have a pale yellow-ish paint on my kitchen, family room, and hall walls. Its official name is "manila tint" and it is pretty close to the shade of ordinary paper file folders, but I think a little yellower. We painted in 2011, so you can surely find layouts with photos that include my yellow walls in my gallery.

I do like to scrap with yellow sometimes. I chose a yellow paper for my background for today's challenge that I'm taking a break from right now! I'll also choose yellow for things like my game token and other small objects, my favorite bowl and plate to eat from (we have mixed up dishes), and other things I'm forgetting at the moment.

I just love how warm and cheerful yellow can be. It really cheers me up. And now that I've written this essay I'm thinking I might make a page about yellow a la the white on white challenge. :D By the way, I like emoticons even more because they're yellow. :yup

Meh. It's okay. I'm not a fan of coral or peach colors. The best part is the description! :rofl

My favorite color right now is anything in the Teal/Mint/Turquoise family. Which so happens to complement the new Coral color perfectly! ;)

I love turquoise, bright coral and orange mixes in pictures and accessories and have them in most of my house. My kitchen has red accents. All of our walls are neutral, earth tone tans.

It's always been dead heat for me between deep red and black, but this year pink has pulled ahead of red. I think there's a metaphor in there somewhere - hope over blood, maybe? Something like that. Have to say, too, I'm a lot more drawn to orange than I have been in the past. Bright hope compared to pink's soft hope.

As for the coral, as just a swatch, meh, but add it in with some cream and matte black? That would be stunning.

My fave color changes but this past year, I've been crazy about purple tones! I have added shirts, scarves and pajamas to my wardrobe in purple. I don't think I've ever been a "purple" person before but I sure am now.

As for the coral....I love it. I've always liked tea rose, salmon, peach....which is similar.

    1. I don't think I have one favorite color. I like the color combination of navy blue and rose pink, but that is two colors. I tend to go with red or black, if I have to settle for just one. My watch is that color (rose gold with navy blue sport band), my notebook (navy blue cover with rose gold discs) and I just uncovered a old baseball hat in those colors (navy blue hat with pink Detroit logo). Apparently I've liked this combination for a while. My old cell phone was rose gold with a navy case (clear back) but my new phone didn't come in pink, so it's silver with a navy case (clear back.)

My first color choice for cars is always navy blue (hard to find) but I'll settle for red (current car color.) My work pants and cardigans/sweaters are all black, but my tops are all the colors. I have a pink scarf that I wear a lot and I'm thinking of knitting/crocheting myself a navy one (because I haven't been able to find one I like.) Still looking for a pattern, although the one in the temperature blanket thread is really nice and I'm thinking that one would a good one!

    2. I like that color a lot! Maybe it would be my favorite individual color if it was more prevalent in the things I buy. :) Every summer I have the urge to buy a coral shirt; I have several short sleeved shirts in that color, plus a hoodie that my son bought me last year. (In the spring, so coral was the color I chose off the rack. LOL) I wear that the most, even though it doesn't match well with most of my other clothes. I just like it that much!

The scarf I wear to work the most is a rust color -- kind of a dark coral? -- because it coordinates well with the most of my tops (including a coral one!)

My favorite color for many years has been purple. The deep, dark color. My winter coat is purple, my phone case was purple and my car is purple and I had a purple purse for awhile (cue strap broke sadness). I was told over 30 years ago that I looked very good in the jewel tone colors and purple was the best. So in addition to purple, I like teal an awful lot. When I buy good tops, I tend to go with purple or teal or even black. I prefer black for pants, both good and jeans. However, around the house I wear a lot of black or grey sweatpants, and Ohio State sweatshirts!

My house has no purple. I painted my bedroom to match Longaberger bedding I got many years ago. It is blue. The guest room is a mauve color that matched a bedspread Martha got for free when buying the new mattress set for that room. My office is called "Bagel" from Sherwin Williams. It matches my Longaberger valences. I've never done anything with the living room so it is still the wallpaper Mom put up in the 80's. Very neutral cream color with a very small pattern. Some day I will get it painted. Now, my kitchen... well I went out of the box for that one! I have a valence in the kitchen and a curtain at the sliding door in the dining room both from Longaberger but different patterns. But they are essentially one large room. I found a color in both patterns that tied them together. Sherwin Williams Dill. Yep, a dark green. I know there is a layout about it in the gallery but doubt the fabrics show in the photos.

As for the coral... meh. It is OK. I couldn't wear it. It would wash me out if it is the focus color. It would have to be accessory for me, probably with black.

My favorites are bright orange and yellow, even though I NEVER wear those colors. They just make me happy. I like them in accessories or things around my house.

I love that coral color!! I think this is the first time in several years that I have actually liked the Pantone Color of the Year! I couldn't wear it but give me all the Coral things :)

Fave color is green. I have lots of green plants around my house and little pops of green here and there...nothing major. It's mainly my fave color because I love seeing all the green growth after winter....a sign of life!

I don't really wear green a whole lot...my fave colors to wear are grey and black.

I adore purple, just about any shade will do. My bedroom is a light blue with purple tints. The rest of the house is light green in kitchen/family room, yellow green in bathroom, dark green/cream in dining room, creamy light brown in living room, peanut butter in library, green and cream entryway - and upstairs dd's room is white, while the art room, ds's bedroom, and their bathroom are all shades of various shades of blue. I wear various shades of purple a lot, along with the other jewel tones of fall.

Coral - ah no - too pink. I don't like pink - it is my least favorite color ever. Grey is next less favorite.

Speaking of purple, my sister bought a house where every room in the entire house was a shade of purple - from lavender to a bright purple. I think she kept the bathroom lavender and repainted everything else. Purple is not a relaxing color like a nice brown or green or blue.

Turquoise is my favorite color, followed by red. I have lots of turquoise accents around my house (lamp shades, vases, artwork with turquoise tones, etc). I have a stash of turquoise jewelry. I have a fair amount of red too. I'm really drawn to vibrant colors, especially patterns.

I like coral. I normally go for something with redder tones, but I like coral too. I have several blouses that are solid coral or have hints of coral mixed in the pattern. It complements my skin olive tone pretty well.

I love all the colors but not too much of any one - KWIM? I love calming serene zen type blue green hues that are desaturated a bit and soft ... I love pops of bright warm colors - like that coral is so pretty! But as weird as it sounds I'm really drawn to neutrals - rich ones though - I love a good deep smokey grey and rich camels. The one color I really don't care for too much is purple. But if it's more of a red purple - like a wine or cranberry, then yes, I like it!
