seriously though - this one really jumped out at me, and I wanted to take a minute to let you know that!

First - I ADORE your photo and your color choices - the simplicity is perfect for this.

Second - turning 30 is not so bad - I actually feel more me now at 36 than I did back in my 20's. (my avatar is at 33) I have learned so much since then, and although my body is obviously aging, UGH, i feel my spirit is still wild and free.

Third - so sorry to hear about your loss - I have been there several times and it is a deep wound. Take your time grieving, let yourself feel it, but also let yourself find joy again when it comes. That is far harder I have found.

Fourth - glad you got some cake eventually! We all need cake! and an iMac!

@mimisgirl THANK YOU! I appreciate your kind words of encouragement and while I did take 30 hard (I think the age I best felt myself was about 26-27) I am adjusting quite well now! We began a journey to a child via adoption at the beginning of the year and as the tides are turning, my heart is finding more freedom. I'm sorry to hear of the pain you shared with me and send hugs! Thanks again. xx

Well YAY! We adopted our little girl, and while it was the HARDEST journey I think we have been on as a couple - it was so worth it - and I would not change the things that happened to lead us to her for anything - painful though they were. Good luck to you and hugs back!
