Journaling challenge
Why do I scrapbook. It’s a good question and challenge to answer out loud on paper even though it might be easy for others to see, that look at my books, that I’m most interested in preserving a visual memory of what happened. My style is simple and photo focused. I haven’t always used a bunch of words and am left wondering even what date the pictures were taken on my earlier scrapbook pages. Now that I’ve started to forget things from 20+ year ago when I first started scrapbooking, the date is super important. As I’ve transitioned from random and event-based pages to project life memory keeping, its been so nice to use the date as my framework. Each page is focused on either a month or a week at a time. Now, this year, Jan 2021 as I write this, will be my second year memory planning in a happy planner. This style and approach gives me a framework, making it even more simple to get my memories recorded. Our family looks back at past scrapbooks to remember when, to see how much our son has grown, and sometimes show our friends what happened in the past and when. My tools have evolved so much over time and have now become a hybrid between digital and paper. I download digital elements and print them to stick them into my memory planner. I print photos at home too, which makes weekly documenting in a paper memory planner possible.

Your clean and simple style is amazing! Memory planners are boat loads of fun...I miss using them. But, life got really, really busy...and my preference is for digital art. All that being said...you rock! Your layouts rock! I hope you share some of your planner pages with us!!! Lots of ladies post hybrid projects here.
