Journaling:
In order to re-connect with myself, I need to spend some time getting away from the busyness of the everyday. I need to read a good book or take a walk in nature, whether it's in our yard or in a special place like the beach. The trees and flowers in our yard or the sand, shells & waves draw my mind to the beauty of God's creation. A good story gets me out of my own self, letting me reflect on others' lives, the challenges & the blessings they experience. These things give me a broader context for my own challenges & blessings.
