-Your choice of placing paper/photo on top of or underneath texture.
-use a clipping mask to clip the photo/paper to the overlay
-adjust the blend mode. I find that overlay works best for darker colors and hard light works best for lighter colors. You can also play with the levels on the overlay to create the perfect look.
