What a big heart you have to open your family and home up to a child in need. I'll be praying for y'all has he transitions in. I hope y'all make some awesome memories together!
How wonderful for that child to have a loving home to take him in and help him along towards hopefully getting back with his family. Fostering is such a blessing to children in need! I'm so glad that everything is working out so far!
Oh Sarah, I have goosebumps of excitement for you. I am a mom to seven because of foster to adopt. I want to jump up and squeeze you lol
How wonderful for him to be in such a loving environment! Hope everyone adjusts to the changes in routines very smoothly.
@AliSarah He is probably trying to repay you with the kindness of helping. He sounds like a good squirt for sure and I hope he gets his wish of having his family back, you are such a great person. How is Curtis and him getting along?
They are actually getting along really well! I am always surprised by how well Curtis adjusts to things changing. He has autism, so he "should" be very dissatisfied with changes, especially these huge ones of other kids moving in and out. Instead, he's just enjoying having someone else to play with, trying Squirt's favorite foods and loving them, and going with the flow! It's really kind of amazing! I have a great photo of the 2 of them in the back of the car, and they are just leaning in toward one another, even though Curtis is in his car seat and Squirt is big enough for a regular belt, they are just stretching toward each other! SO PRECIOUS!! This is a life changing experience for sure! They have found and are making contact with some family members for Squirt! They live in another state, so I have no idea what the time frame is, but it looks like he will be one of the unicorns of foster care- a child who gets to be reunited with a father and grandmother who have been looking for him and can't wait to have him home! How awesome is that??? Huggles!! ~Sarah~
