Well, we found out last Monday that the Thursday before our Homestudy had been approved!! By Wednesday night, we had a new little squirt in our custody! He's 9 and has kept me pretty busy this past week! But, we are getting into a schedule and I should be able to get back into my regular stuff any time now!! It's been definitely interesting having a big boy in the house! He wants to help with everything, which is making me feel a little claustrophobic at times! When I'm frying an egg, I'd rather do it without someone's breath on my neck!! But, he's a very sweet kid and he is getting along really well with Curtis and with the dogs, so we are settling into a new normal for us!! Huggles!! ~Sarah~
Ah, congratulations!!! Is this your first child? Adoption is great stuff. Boys are fun and different. We have two biological sons and our daughter is adopted. Congratulations again!
Nobody is talking about adoption just yet. Ultimately it is our goal to adopt a sibling group, but this little guy is hoping for reunification, so we are hoping for that for him... I have a bio daughter who is 21 and has made me a grandma and an almost 4 year old who is teaching me all about the world of autism! So, our Squirt is not the only kiddle in the house, he's just the only one really getting used to how we do things and stuff!! Huggles!! ~Sarah~
