Doing DYD really helped me see some value in, and have some fun with, scrapping the everyday rather than just events etc. So I'm thinking of having a go at doing a month in review pocket 2pager or a weekly page. Not sure, will see what happens when I go through January in a bit. I tried out a DIY pocket page style for my last MOC layout to see how I got on with it. It certainly comes together quickly. I've had a look at some of the pocket kits though and I think I might make my own cards from my existing kits and some old journal card templates by Scrapping with Liz that I used for bragbooks in the past. I like to have cards I can journal all over rather than ones with big designs and wordart on. If I've missed a kit like that please let me know.
Jaimee always has great journal cards in her Storyteller every month, and they are separates, too. There are fillers as well, but she does have lots that have great journaling space https://the-lilypad.com/store/Just-Jaimee/?catid=314
I love these ledgers: And Paislee Press and Sabrina's Creations usually have a fun set with writing cards:
I do not know what software you use but I am enjoying using Mommyish action for creating journal cards:
Paisley Press often offers journal cards that are minimalist, meaning lots of room left to journal! I think Sahlin Studio and Sabrina’s Creation offer lots like this too. Each month in the main Storyteller collection, Jaimee has filler cards and journal cards. The journal cards have lots of room to journal.
And I'm the one who erases the journaling lines so I don't have to fiddle with making sure my digital journaling stays on the card lines!
This year I've been making a lot of my own journal cards by just using simple word art from kits. I'll add it to the middle if I need a filler card, or position it at the top or bottom of the card to use it at a journal card.
