Hey! I've received a few emails on how to use the "Separate the Shadow" action in PSE. When you download the new Stylin' #263 there is a PSE action folder (the PSE action and CS action are different) I created a little tutorial in PSE to demonstrate how to use this action with the shadow styles And here is the video about the set itself!
It works perfectly Leah @mommyish ... I loaded it to PSE 15 even though I mainly use PS CC 2018, I also have PSE 15 and seperating the shadows manually in PSE is a bear... your action makes it a breeze. I tried it out and it is awesome!!
Wahoo! All my PSE friends are gonna love this! Thanks Leah! @mommyish - is this video linked in the product description in the store too? I guess I can go look...hehe. Thanks again. Customizing shadows in PSE just got a whole lot easier... YAY!
Thank you Leah!! This is so very amazing and I am just over the moon with being able to separate the shadows!!!
Oh, this is awesome! Can't wait to grab it from the store and have a play with my easily separated shadows! Thanks @mommyish and @keepscrappin !!
I think you'd find yourself using this on every layout! It's super fun to play with - but I am partial!
Sorry that I bugged ya before really looking at my folder a little closer. Haha! It works like a dream though and us PSE users thank you!!
I used to have CS4, and when I got a new computer, I decided to switch to PSE instead of paying monthly for creative cloud. I have had to make do without separate shadows, but was REALLY missing that capability every once in a while. Im so excited to get that function back
Hi. It has taken quite a number of attempts to get this separate the shadow action to work in my PSE 11, but something finally fell into place......YEAH! Not sure why it was being difficult. Anyway, now that it is working, it makes life so much easier. YEAH again! I did have another method for separating the shadow, but it was way more involved. Thank you heaps for designing the style.
Oh and I have been playing around with "warping" the shadow. If you hold down the control key you can do a PSE form of "warp". Also by simplifying the shadow layer and playing around with opacity and/or blend modes you can tweak the shadows more.
@KairynLisa While I no longer have your version of PSE (I'm on PSE15), I will guess no because I think it was PSE11 where the ability to easily add actions started. To me, that version11 was a watershed improvement.
