Hi, everyone! We are speed scrapping in the chat room right now! I will post instructions here as I give them out in the chat room. Participants will have until 4pm EST to link their layouts in this thread. There will be 7 instructions total given. You must follow at least 6 of them in creating your layout (I'm giving you some wiggle room to throw one out if it doesn't work for you). If you skip one, you have to list the step that you skipped when you post your layout. Layout Instructions: 1. Use a solid or semi-solid (distressed is fine, just no pattern) background paper of any color. 2. Use 2 photos of the same orientation (horizontal or vertical) OR 1 photo and 1 journal card of the same orientation. Place them side-by-side (for vertical) or one on top of the other (for horizontal) but slightly offset from each other toward the left center of the page. (An example of offset- if you have two vertical photos, the top of one will be slightly higher than the other.) 3. Place a single strip of patterned paper down the right side of the page. The width of the strip can be anywhere from 1” to 3”- your choice. 4. Place a small cluster of elements bridging the paper strip and the background paper near the top right corner. The cluster must contain at least three elements, but you can also include as many more as you wish. 5. Use a scatter of elements (sequins, confetti, etc.) across your page, on top of the background paper but behind the photos. 6. Place your title to the right of your photo(s). It is totally okay for it to overlap your photos! 7. Place a border, banner, bunting, ribbon, or other long, narrow element between your photos. If you want to layer more than one of these items, that is totally fine! Journaling and adding a date to your page are both optional extras and can be placed wherever you like on your page.
EEk! I forgot all about this! I've been busy trying to delete stuff so I can have more room on my EHD. It's full up! Hope you had fun.
Thanks to everyone who entered! I'll be going through this evening and sending out prizes to the participants!
