I forgot about those... I loved them as well (also loved Sweet Tarts). I always had to eat the Smarties 2 at a time. I sorted them by colors and would then eat 2 at a time until I got to the single one left. Always wondered why there were an odd amount in the roll!

Black licorice lovers unite!! I love Good n Plenty, the mix where some have little beads on them, licorice Scotty dogs...love it all!!

@Amson You make homemade black licorice?!!? I bet that is to DIE for!!!

That commercial is SO cute!! Wish we could go back to simplistic ads like that!

I am usually a chocolate girl if I am going to have something sweet... but some current favorite non-chocolate treats are:

    - strawberry starbursts
    - Haribo gummy bears (especially the clearish ones that are pineapple)
    - the free mints they give out at Chick-fil-A (seriously I love them and if I knew where to buy them, I would)

I'm another one who doesn't really like non chocolate candy. I never buy it and if my kids are eating it I might eat one piece and then be done.

I must admit that I will eat jelly bellies and some other candies (red and pink starburst), but they don't quite do the trick. Lately Icelandic Chocolate has been my thing. It's amazing!

Um, does chocolate licorice count? Or is that still considered chocolate candy....:hummm

Other than that, it's the gummy Lifesavers or mini starburst. They get me every time. And I don't know why, because after about 5 it's so overly sweet I can't do anymore!
Or Gummy Bears - but only Albanese. Because if I'm going to have non chocolate, it's gotta be good! And I can eat a whole pound of those in one sitting!

Yes to black licorice. How can I say no to that, as a Dutch person? I always have licorice in the car.

But I mostly love cinnamon candy sticks. Loooove.

Skittles. One time I ate an entire large bag in one setting...felt so sick from all the sugar, I had to sit the rest of the day out.

I'm not a fan of chocolate. I'll eat it, and there are some that I like, but it's never my first choice.

I love Sour Skittles and the Haribo Gold Bears. I usually get Sour Patch Kids at the movies because they don't carry either of those and not much else that isn't chocolate. (Twizzlers and Original Skittles are the only other ones, I think.)

I can't eat too many of them because they stick to my teeth and I hate that but they taste so good sometimes.

Hmmm... I definitely prefer candy with chocolate, but I also like starburst, skittles and Airheads. they are easier for me to pass up too though. My biggest weakness is a good ole blizzard from Dairy Queen though. And that has to have chocolate in it... either Chocolate Extreme or M&M. Yummy!

Ha ha - I was talking to my daughter about this thread (and it took a long time for her to decide if she had a favorite), but as I was reading what you listed, she was like Oh yeah, that is good, and that one, and that one....

She decided on Hi Chew, another candy from Japan. Can you tell we visit the Asian store often?

If it doesn't have chocolate in it, it isn't worth the calories. :-)
