Please don't tell my kid! He, nor the dog, needs to know there's a day devoted to them. I think I'll stick to pretzels instead.

And now I can't remember where I was going with that thought....

Do you ever celebrate the random days? I mean, there's at least one national day for every day on the calendar.

I'm sorry, but a day devoted to kids? I'm a SAHM: every day is devoted to them. Maybe I need to Google this day cuz it could be about some type of awareness? Otherwise, no, I do not and will not make this a Kids Day in my house. They need no encouragement to make everything about themselves rotfl!

I don't usually know about these holidays unless someone posts about it on Facebook or you post about it, @bestcee ! LOL Are you checking a site for these little-known holidays? Or is there an app for that?

We have celebrated National Ice Cream for Breakfast Day and National Donut Day. Any excuse for a treat!

Just Google. Some of them show up on Facebook or in an email ad for me. Other days, I just google "national day" and the date.

Yes! That's what I was thinking! Why do they need a day? Every day is their day at my house.

We have a special calendar in my classroom devoted to weird/bizarre/random holidays. We fill it up at the beginning of the month and at least talk about it every day. Sometimes we celebrate, depending on what it is.

I usually find out about these random days about two days after they've happened when I scroll down on Facebook or something. The only one I was mad to miss was National Margarita day! :giggle

Yum, we had chicken fajita's last night for dinner and I looked at my hubby while I was cooking and said I'm in the mood for a frozen margarita! It was so good with our dinner!

I'm not good about these kinds of celebrations...........

We don't do them unless we're using them as an excuse to go get a treat. A couple of years ago we decided to celebrate National Donut Day, because donuts sounded good. Can you believe it... Dunkin Donuts was out of donuts. It was a DD/Baskin Robbins combo store, so we had ice cream for National Donut Day. :-/
