@gonewiththewind - I really do, most of the time. It can be incredibly busy and stressful, but very interesting and rewarding at the same time.

So, I work at Pacific Northwest National Laboratory (pnnl.gov). It's a Department of Energy national laboratory. My boss is the Associate Laboratory Director for Earth and Biological Sciences - think climate change, atmospheric sciences, biofuels, soil sciences, cancer research, microbiome. It also includes two user facilities - Atmospheric Radiation Measurement Laboratory and the Environmental Molecular Sciences Laboratory (EMSL is where the video was filmed). And I'm her executive assistant. So my days are filled with a lot of meetings, keeping track of her calendar and emails, dealing with her travel (which is a lot - she is on travel three out four weeks in April), bringing in visitors, preparing her presentations. Basically taking care of whatever she needs to get her job done. Not at all what I expected to be doing (I was a paralegal for 18 years before I got this job) but it's super interesting!

I loved watching this! Especially the shots in the lab... I was watching the background and scanning to see if you had any of our LECO instruments in the lab. Lol! I too work in an engineering facility, but we make the instruments that labs like yours use. LECO stands for Labratory Equipment COmpany... I always tell people that we make instruments like what you see in the background on CSI... lots of GC Mass Spec stuff and tons of other testing equipment like for Carbon, Sulfur, Nitrogen and Oxygen for the coal and steel industry to use too. Oh and some food places like Frito Lay use our stuff too! Super interesting video Julie! And I love your coat too @mrs2a50
