What's the most kits you've put on a layout?
I'm not usually huge on mixing and matching. But having my kits a little easier to pull up all at once in AcdSee might be the beginning of a new scrapping habit.

So, how about you? What's the most you've combined on one layout?

Me? 14. I pulled from 14 different kits for my last layout! (15 if you count the 2 separate BYOC packs). I don't know if I've ever done more than that!

Oh WOW!! 15 is a lot!! Did you do the inchies challenge earlier this year?

I have no idea! I've never tracked that LOL! I usually just type in a keyword and grab whatever catches my eye.

I didn't! I wanted to, but time got the best of me. It's habit for me to track now doing CT work.

I think, maybe 4... and that was with only one thing from the other 3 kits.. I am very much a 1 kit scrapper. Gosh, 15 kits! That is making me anxious just thinking about it! Lol!!

Wow..15! That's awesome!! I think probably 8 or so is the most I've ever used on one page and if I'm not mistaken it was for an MOC challenge.

wow! i mix mostly for BYOC these days (or pull from a bunch of different Project Mouse packs for Disney pages) but you are winning by a long shot! Typing the credits for 15 kits would take me longer than the actual scrapping!

WOW - 15!!! That's pretty awesome, Courtney. I know if my goal was to mix as many as possible, I would be intimidated. Unknowingly, I still don't think I'd be able to accomplish that! :) I don't think I mix too much.... lol, maybe 2-3. Now, for me BYOC is a mix, and for that I've pry done 8 or so....

I think probably 8... but I mix on almost every page! Granted, I scrap A LOT of Disney and use Project Mouse frequently. Those kits are super easy to mix because they flow so nicely together!

I love the ease of a good one kit layout, but it is really fun to mix sometimes! I went and checked my gallery here and my highest was easily this just for fun quote page. I used 9 different alphas and 13 other packs for a total of 22! o_O

I will admit that it is easiest for me to mix my own products that way since I am so thoroughly familiar with them and have a pretty good idea what will work for what I want to do. :) I do have one page that stands out in my mind from my pre-designing days though where I pulled in all kinds of lace and ribbons and flowers and stitching. I looked it up and that one uses pieces from 24 different kits from 19 different designers (in addition to the few bits I made myself). It probably took me as long to write up the credits as it did to make the page. :giggle

and I think 14 or so on this one:

I love to mix and match especially on art journaling pages or with BYOC. :)

@Karen - Most of mixy-matchy is on AJ pages too. Probably because I have a specific item in mind that I want to add. On regular pages I am mostly a one or two kit girl. I rather it be done than "perfect". However, I do love the BYOC as it certainly gives me variety and yet I know it will all work together.

Like Timmi, this made me think of the inchies page we did.

But I almost always use at least 5 kits and often my credit list is even longer than that. :D

Because I scrap by searching for what I need, usually, rather than choosing a kit. Sometimes I stick to one kit for speed scraps, but even for those my search method often works just fine. Thanks to all the designers who write good filenames. :heartlub

If you count matching kits like BYOC then I might be able to say 10....
Unrelated and unmatching kits, maybe 3-4

I really have never counted unless it was for a challenge.

I love mixing and matching kits. I can't tell if I do them justice, but it's really fun.
For this page I used 22 kits/element packs, but it was mostly one element or two out of each kit.
It was for the "Eclectic Tournament" of a recent competition, and one of the requirements was to use kits from at least 3 designers.

And the Inchies, of course! I lost count on this one!

Yes they are! I totally forgot about Disney page kit mixing. I love how they flow together.

    That's so many! I'm amazed.

Yes. I love how easily byoc mixes together.

That's awesome that you mix and match so much!

And it looks like a single kit. Awesome!

Lovely layout! I can't believe you used 16 kits!

The longer I scrap - 9 years now - the more likely I am to use just one or two kits. I think at the start I was just in love with having so much pretty shiny stuff!
