Hey there challengers! Welcome to May! How crazy is it that we're already celebrating May?! I've been getting into my camera lately, playing with different settings, different ideas, and one thing I'm fascinated with is macro/close-up photography. I don't have a macro lens (yet), but I've been experimenting with my zoom lens and manual focusing and I love the detail I see by getting up close and personal! So that's your photography challenge for this month - scrap a macro or close up photo. You should take a new photo for this challenge - and don't be afraid to get superclose to your subject! Here's my page: Please remember the monthly challenge rules: Your page must contain at least 75% Lilypad product. Your page should be posted to the Lilypad Gallery and then linked to the Challenge Layouts thread so it can be tracked, and to this thread. The Lilypad uses a percent system for our challenges; the number of challenges you participate in determines the store discount you will receive at the end of the month: 2 challenges = 10% off 4 challenges = 20% off 6 challenges = 30% off If you complete 7 challenges, you will receive a coupon for 30% off, plus you will be entered to win a guest spot on the Lilypad Creative Team! The first seven challenges will be posted on the first of the month; the eighth challenge is the BYOC challenge, which is posted on BYOC release day. Each page counts for one challenge (you cannot use one layout for multiple challenges). Now, go get a little closer, and start snapping!
I don't have a maco lens but I enjoy taking close-up photos. They don't always turn out, but it's fun trying.
I've made snails pictures with my macro mode but I need an other subject for scrap... Or not... Thinking about something...
I thought the same thing at first... then, I enlarged the page and read the journaling and realized it was a paw. lol glad I'm not the only one seeing things.
Ok- I don't have a macro lens, so I just got as close as I could, then picked a small section of the file and enlarged it. I hope that works?
Oh I would love macro........but my iphone does amazing macro. I even got the patterns in frost with it. If you don't know, you can pinch, pull on the screen and it zooms. It has a little trouble focusing. We have used it to see the holes on the back of leaves for science! PS when I saw you pick, I thought, what nice trimmed nails your dog has!
This is perfect for me because I've been wanting to take pics of my tulips but I keep forgetting--and we know they're not going to be around much longer! So I just got out my camera and took a bunch of pics. My neighbors probably wonder WTHeck is wrong with me since I was on my knees in the mulch and trying to get "under" the tulips for a few pics lol. Now I'm off to narrow down my pic choices for my lo.
Mine my end up being rain as we've had rain nearly every day this month! hello from moldy Maryland! And yes, an iPhone can do pretty good macro - good enough for me i.e.
