I know I missed the time...not that it matters for me. Heehee.
I did scrap with Tracy's instructions though!

I didn't get started before it was over but I did it.

 

I did all 5 instructions and skipped the twist. The Christmas tree tag journaling and date are separate fonts.

Okey doke - here's my page! Thanks for the fun!!!

 

Here is my layout for the challenge.
With the twist option, I disregarded instruction #1 and followed all the others.
2. Your layout must include at least one word tag. (check)
3. At least 5 words of the journaling must be in a light to medium color other than black, gray, blue, or brown. (check - used mustard yellow)
4. Your journaling/labeling must include a location. (check - date and place)
5. You must use at least two different fonts. Alphas count as fonts but word tags do not. (check -Title uses an alpha and a font. Journaling in a different font, too.)

 

My twist was to use horizontal journaling.

 

AAGGGGHHHH!!! So sorry I forgot about this! I so wanted to take part! Knew I should have put a note on my computer!!!!

 

I hope I did this right ... I put the date & location in white, but since it really isn't part of the journaling I guess I omitted #3 for the twist.

 

@NancyP you have until 7:00 pm EST on 1/8/17 to complete a layout and receive the free template.

 

Busy evening earlier, but didn't want to miss all of the fun! I had signed up for the twist, but I think I got everything without it.

 

Here is my page:

1. All titles, journaling, dates, and word tags must be a an angle or vertical; no words in a straight horizontal line.
2. Your layout must include at least one word tag.
4. Your journaling/labeling must include a location.
5. You must use at least two different fonts. Alphas count as fonts but word tags do not.

 

The challenge for me was angling! Experience has taught me I'm not great at it so I made me layout straight then selected everything but the background paper and rotated it slightly to get the angle on everything.

I think I have everything else. If the date charm doesn't work as the word tag then that is the twist I used.



ETA this used a photo template but I can't find it in store and I amended it, not only by rotating, but also by not using the journaling strips and a small photo in the bottom right instead using that space for my extended journaling.
