Squeal! I've heard a lot of good things about lynda and the learning courses available there. I was just stumbling around the library website, checking it out, and found that I can access the site for free through my library!! Also, I can access muzzy. My son has been wanting to learn Spanish and French, so I'm super excited about that! Now to go find all the photoshop courses on lynda!
Sounds great. Can you tell me some more about Lynda and Muzzy. What is it exactly??? This inquiring mind wants to know!!!
wow, that is really cool. i can't tell you how many times i came across some great tut/or an answer to something i wanted to learn how to do - only to find it was a lynda tutorial. grr. i may have to see if my library has this .... doubt it! enjoy! (and super sweet you are introducing your little one to foreign languages!)
THANK YOU for teaching your kids other languages and when they're young! Kids soak things up so easily at a young age and it's easy for them. My father knew 13 languages. THIRTEEN!!!! What did he teach me? English, bad English and Sarcasm. (so actually, he knew 16 languages.. LOL) But seriously! Enjoy and grats!!!!
Lynda is a video learning site. I've heard about the amazing courses it has, I've never taken one though. Muzzy is a language learning site. I tremendous it from being young and in school. It has games and stuff to teach you the language.
I'm not great at my high school french, but I still remember how to sing "who's afraid of the big bad wolf" in French from first grade! That's so awesome he knows 13! Lynda.com I've heard recommended over and over again for its tutorials and learning new programs.
Lucky you! I was a member for a few years when I was first learning photoshop and lightroom. They have great tutorials. Its a little pricey though, so getting it for free is amazing!
OMG.....I just check with my library and we get access for free too! Woohoo! @bestcee Thx so much Courtney b/c I would never have clicked on the learning tab at my library site and seen the lynda.com link. This just makes my day!
I've said it before and will keep saying it: WHY WHY WHY don't they start language in first grade!! These kids little brains are like sponges and would soak it right up!!! Why wait until highschool when they are already overloaded with classes, homework, extra curricular activities etc etc etc, and NOW they throw in a new language??? Really??? Many years ago my then toddler daughter was picking up Spanish from watching Sesame Street!! Then they taught it in Pre-School!!! She had quite a vocab of Spanish by the time she was 6.
