Thanks so much to all of you who attended the live session! I hope that I was able to share some basic information to get you started in Lightroom, or for more seasoned Lightroom users, to impart a tip or two you might not have known about before!

Here's the link to the Adobe Connect recording. If you find upon reviewing the video that you have questions, please be sure to share them here. I'll answer them as best I can or I'll let you know if I'll be covering the answer to your question in an upcoming session.

Thanks again, and happy Lightrooming (LOL)!

@gonewiththewind Cheryl, thanks for making this happen. I most likely won't be able to attend the LIVE sessions, but I do plan on watching the taped versions. I don't have Lightroom, but I have been considering purchasing it.

@mcurtt I hope you enjoy watching, and that it helps you make a decision about whether LR is a good investment for you and your scrapping!

I have to watch it again while I'm sitting in front of Lightroom clicking and pausing... Thank you for the recording.

    I agree @Lindzee , that's what I'll be doing once I'm home again.

@gonewiththewind , this might seem a dumb question but does Lightroom edit photos too? (Seriously I've never looked at LR or considered it before yesterday).

Jennifer, I just thought I would pop in and give the short answer - YES. Lightroom is a catalog for organizing, but I would say it's primary purpose is actually photo editing. It can be done through adjustments of levels, saturation, etc in Lightroom's sliders but it can also be done with one click via the magic of Lightroom presets. It's by far my favorite photo editing tool.

Yes, we will be exploring the Develop module, where you make photo edits using the tools available (or awesome presets) in the intermediate and advanced classes. :)

@gonewiththewind Thanks Cheryl! I found it informative... I don't use LR for cataloging but found a few things I was not aware of and so it was very interesting. Re the photos and the paint etc. Very interesting as well as the IDing :) Thanks! Looking forward to the next one, and I will try and stay up through that!! Hugs!

@gonewiththewind , Cheryl, just watched your fantastic video. Even though I've taken two classes on LR, I learned a couple new things that were new and got a great review of others. The spray can was a new item. I love that you spray a photo purple if you have scrapped it. How do you remove the color if you have made a mistake?

Secondly, I've been driven nearly nuts trying to undo the selection for removal and your showing that just clicking on the small x in the corner does it --- OMGoodness! -- so simple when someone shows it to you. I am SO THANKFUL to know now. THANK you so much.

    I'm so glad, Diane!

To remove a color have you have sprayed it, you can either remove the color by right clicking on the photo or series of photos, and choosing SET COLOR LABEL. Then you will choose NONE and it removes it!
