This month for our random challenge I have chosen 3 works of art that I hope will inspire you as much as they have myself. I have chosen 1 layout from the following galleries: Member by Janet Scott Photography Designer by Valorie Wibbens Polly by Cristina ***Now your challenge for this month is to pick 1 thing that inspires you from each of the 3 pages and use that inspiration to create your own page. It can be anything. A technique, a color, a background, pattern, etc..... I want you to list the 3 things that you chose along with your page in this thread. Happy Scrapping!!*** Here is my example to get you started. I was inspired by the heart cutouts with different patterns behind in first layout and I chose to do arrow cutouts, the large picture in Val's layout, and the use of the journal cards in Cristina's layout. I put it all together and came up with this: Please remember and follow the Lilypad Challenge rules: Your page must contain at least 75% of Lilypad product. You should post your layout in this thread, as well as in the June Challenge Layouts thread so it can be tracked! The Lilypad uses a percent system for our challenges; the number of challenges you participate in determines the store discount you will receive at the end of the month: 2 challenges = 10% off 4 challenges = 20% off 6 challenges = 30% off If you complete all 7 challenges, you will receive a coupon for 30% off, plus you will be entered to win a guest spot on the Lilypad Creative Team! The first six challenges will be posted on the first of the month; the seventh challenge is the BYOC challenge, which is posted on BYOC release day. Each page counts for one challenge (you cannot use one layout for multiple challenges).
wonderful challenge and I love your page. Here's mine from the first layout I was inspired by the kraft b/g and heart cutout (I used a wood veneer word bubble for mine) from the second layout I was inspired by the large photo and clear title letters from the third layout I was inspired by the arrows and paint splatter
Great challenge!! I used the cut outs for sure from the first layout, the light alpha over white from the second and the pop of color with paint against white from the third!
My inspiration #1 : cut-outs & placement #2 : clear alphas & the triangle placement #3 : paint/splatter, journal cards & black journaling
1 - Stitches 2 - Hearts 3 - Paint splatter And the fact that you have 3 inspiring layouts...inspired the 1,2 and 3 !
1. on the first page I copied the hearts that I replaced by circles 2. on the second I took the hearts and how to set up the photo and the title 3. on the third I copied the tape and the elements around the photo
this was quiet a challenge, and am still not happy with the page, but need some sleep and food LOL I took the cut outs from the first LO, only I stucked the cards inside. I took the food element in the second LO, only the photo is small and also tuckef under the cutout & From Christina's LOs the cards
I was inspired by the hearts and cutouts on the first layout, the framing of the small photo on the 2nd, and the journaling on the large photo with the large title on the 3rd. Here is what I came up with Words of Earnest-pg2
1. the scatter of hearts - I scattered stars 2. the use of washi tape 3. the paint and minimal elements
from the 1st - embellishments covering a corner of the photo from the 2nd - the large photo and then smaller photo on top from the 3rd - tape holding down the photo
