this is the original photo above - Of the Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk and Big Dipper wooden Rollercoaster taken from a car window, while we were driving there in 1992. I used the Oil Painting setting on Craft Artist2 and adjusted it so I could still make out the shapes, then I made a copy of the photo, made it almost completely transparent, and put it on top so you could see the outlines of the boardwalk & coasters.
i cropped a lot of the distracting background and then lightened and sharpened the pic using pioneer woman actions
All of the photos were edited (hard to tell though!) and the one of my son & brother I changed to black & white.
Thanks for hosting this challenge, Julie. Original photo Processed photo. I used Annie's (Paint the Moon) Grace Collection. <3
So I love handing my husband the camera because no one does candid and fun like him, but he has absolutely no idea how to set my camera, so often things are too dark, not focused etc. So this challenge was perfect for trying to lighten up a dark picture he took that was super fun. Here is the picture originally. I lightened and did some actions to change the color some.
I hate grey snow! Here is the original: https://goo.gl/photos/2Jz3KxSv9SbA2PGj9 I ran CoffeeShop Blog's winter dreams action and sharpened it. I also added a snow brush effect. https://goo.gl/photos/NJz88TVpBYA6qnTo8
Changed a color photo to black and white (I still have a lot to learn when it comes to photo editing but this I can do...)
My page... I used a photo in black and white with a touch of color: Credits: Doodles -Happily Ever After- -All Mad Here- -All The Everydays- & -Art Joodles Mixed Bag2- (Kate Hadfield) Alpha -Springity- (Kate Hadfield) Kit -Little Lady- (Bella Gypsy) Template -Go Big Or Go Home Vol.1- (Nettio) =)
Ok, may have gone a bit over the top - here's the original - very dark Ran it through PicMonkeys Curves, Intrepid and Boost
Mine; I used 2 digfferent effects, one Cracalure on the background photo, also blended that to an even more textured back, and changed the opacity. The other has a paint effect, pastel I think ... the 2 original potos
I took a cue from your gorgeous dog, @mrs2a50 . Took this with my iPhone, used some filters and a blur (tilt shift) to get the focus on her face:
One of the original photos. I forgot to set the camera back to "zero" before my daughter used it. The ISO was set way too slow for these pictures. All of them were this dark. I used Lightroom to edit the raw photos. Even whitened my teeth on some of them.
I've always loved this photo of my daughter and husband, but it was so dark. I tried to lighten it up so you could see a bit more of her
I tend to brighten all my photos using either the levels or a combo of the Overlay and Screen layer effects, but I went a step further on this one. Using a tutorial I saw last month, I copied the brightened photo, blurred it and then lowered the transparency to smooth out the original. And it turned out AMAZING! We look amazingly airbrushed My original And my layout
OK, here was my original, which I love as is: And here is my LO with the image altered. I used the PSE Cutout filter, which I don't always like, but it worked for this, I think.
The original My edited picture. I cropped it, and made the colors more vibrant. Template is an old retired Bella Gypsy temp. Kit used is Yee Haw by Kristin Aagard Designs.
So I love this pic of DD with her cousin, but the colors were all wrong for the vibrancy of this month's M3 goodies. I tweaked the Levels a bit and then turned it black and white. No colors means no clashing! It wasn't a tough process, but I do love the outcome. Thanks for the challenge!
Here is my layout! I edited the photos so that the rainbow stood out just a bit clearer. I used RadLab: first Boutwell Magic Glasses and then Sugar Rush. I added the unedited version below.
