OK, I want to try out pocket scrapping this year but I also want to scrap non-pocket, so I am combining both on double pages. I am a total newbie to pocket scrapping and am not very comfortable with it yet. That's why my page is pretty plain and simple. I don't know yet how to embellish properly...

@Rikki For several years, I did wha you are doing - regular pocket page on one side and a related regular page on the other side, often with a full page photo and just journaling on the photo. It's all good!

It's the best of both worlds, isn't it. Neat pocket pages and still all the possibilities of "free style".

This is week 4. The page I made for the scraplift challenge together with a pocket page.

i just squished the first in the first week pages. i also just do as many pages as it takes i hate trying to narrow down photos and not add everything. but i also have to have the week start on the left so if i have one extra page i just add a regular layout next to it. I dont do a separate book for regular layouts. I feel really accomplished that i got all last year done! That has never happened before i mean i had photos from when my 9 yr old was a baby unscrapped! but this year i also want to make an album for each kid using all their photos over the year and just keep adding to it each year. That way when they are grown i can give them an album of their childhood. I just feel bad for my oldest since i didn't get digital till he was like 10 so there's only a small amount of photos for him from back when you had to really pick and choose moment so you didn't burn threw film! if you rememberd your camara at all. lol and im keeping up this year cuz i didn't last year for like three monthes over the summer and it was a mess! i lost track of the weeks and had week 33 twice and no week 40 but whatever my grandma always said "it wouldn't be hand made if there isnt a flaw"!

It's so nice to see all the inspiration in one place! I'm trying out an 8x6 format this year. I used it for my December Daily and I actually finished and printed that album! Each page seems more doable to me. Here's a spread of January. February/March here I go!

This is exactly my approach this year. I love my past PL books but I have been missing creating regular scrap pages also so I am doing a combo of the 2 this year for my PL. Gorgeous pages by the way!!

Jumping in here. Started out this year doing a paper scrapbook PL and just realized it's not going to work for me any more. I don't have time or space to drag out all those physical products and I have missed the ease and fun of my digital stuff so back I come....

I am so behind. I am determined to keep going and catch up though. I am not doing weeks. Sticking to scrapping moments each month with continuing my pocket page on the left side and free style scrap page on the right side. Loving this version so far.

Amanda, this is how I did mine for parts of years when there was little going on so page 2 became a 'traditional' layout with one photo story of the week. It worked. You're going to be happy you found your own way to capture your current life I'm sure. Done is done!

Yes, I have done pocket pages for so many years I needed something to break it up and breathe new life into the project for me this year. I really am enjoying doing more traditional layouts again.
