I really struggled with this challenge not knowing if the app I use Over for ios blend was what was really meant. With encouragement from another thread I did go with this. Three different papers, the hearts, the distressed and the diamond grid.
I love blending papers- can't let many pages go by without blending - I blended a plain black and white animal stripe paper with a red plain paper to create the background - also blended a white checked paper with the photo frame but that is very subtle
Here's mine: I blended a yellow paper that has pink polka dots (and looked like it was blended with a newspaper)(bottom layer) with a neutral colored paper that had a grid (top layer). I used the multiply blending mode on the top layer and then reduced the opacity on the bottom layer. I really like using this method when I want a background paper with subtle hint of a design.
Nothing fancy here, just a quick layout so I could focus on paper blending. I used a bright green patterned paper on the bottom and a solid cream paper on top. I used the "Color" blend mode on the top layer, which made the bottom layer appear much more subdued, and which I accentuated further by changing the opacity of the bottom layer. I might find that I can use more patterned papers in future, as now I can use text on top of them. This was a good learning challenge for me!
I used a patterned paper with black and white painted stripes, and then put the patterned paper with the red and pink pattern on top with the "screen" blending mode, which makes these pretty patterned stripes - I hadn't tried it before but loved the effect!
3 papers used to blend. Once I worked out how to do the blending this was easy and so fun!! I love the effect I got, feels to me like bubbles in water!!
