    Welcome to the January Etc by Danyale Blog Challenge, and the new year!!
    ​
    This year we will be doing challenges a bit differently than we did last year. Rather than focusing on a theme for the challenge, we will be focusing more on a technique that you can use to make your page.

    For this first challenge, we will be using the selective coloring technique, and Jenn created this lovely page for us as inspiration:

    Southern Comfort kit...very versatile...I also used it on my Grandson's first solid foods page. Thanks for the challenge, I love the look of this technique!

    My selectively coloring is in the lower center picture - the birthday boy. I created a layer mask to get this effect. I'll be linking this in the blog as well as here.

    All dresses, chair, mushrooms and flowers were selectively colored and then the background blended to achieve a darker look.

    You did a great job!! I love it for really allowing you to use photos that don't at first "match a kit" - Awesome page!
