Welcome to the January Etc by Danyale Blog Challenge, and the new year!! This year we will be doing challenges a bit differently than we did last year. Rather than focusing on a theme for the challenge, we will be focusing more on a technique that you can use to make your page. For this first challenge, we will be using the selective coloring technique, and Jenn created this lovely page for us as inspiration: CLICK THE IMAGE OR HERE TO GO TO THE BLOG FOR DETAILS (We love that you share your page here in the forum, but image must be posted in Etc blog challenge post to count for random drawing per the rules of the challenge) Prize: $10 to the Etc by Danyale store Details on the challenge post on the BLOG December WINNER Announced! Have fun creating!
Southern Comfort kit...very versatile...I also used it on my Grandson's first solid foods page. Thanks for the challenge, I love the look of this technique!
Great pages, ladies - every month is fabulosity! I will double check the blog in them morning and approve all pending posts.
My selectively coloring is in the lower center picture - the birthday boy. I created a layer mask to get this effect. I'll be linking this in the blog as well as here.
Great challenge! Love color selection! This was part of my flower garden last summer. I added this to your blog. https://the-lilypad.com/forum/galleries/etc-by-danyale-jan-chal.282461/
All dresses, chair, mushrooms and flowers were selectively colored and then the background blended to achieve a darker look.
Wow! I always say that but I truly always mean it. You ladies are so creative, I love how you are meeting this challenge!
We mentioned in the blog post that it would depend on your program, but here is one for PSE - google search your specific program if this doesn't help: http://www.photoshopessentials.com/photo-effects/easy-selective-color-effect-with-photoshop/ I know there were several videos as well. Sorry!
You did a great job!! I love it for really allowing you to use photos that don't at first "match a kit" - Awesome page!
