The struggle is real! What's a scrapper to do when your photos aren't as awesome as your memories? I shared some GSOs and tips on the ForeverJoy blog here: https://goo.gl/j9pT19
This is so me. I never seem to take the photos I think I will. I always end up with a handful of mediocre snaps. But when I look back on them a few years on, they still evoke the happiest memories and were perfect after all lol
Great idea! I used to toss aside the less liked photos, if there was bad lighting, unintentional blur, bad angle, etc but I've learned that the memory is more important than the perfect photo and it's always a good thing to learn ways to incorporate those into a scrap page.
Such a great post, @ForeverJoy! I always have great intentions of having all the perfect shots, but it never turns out that way. Too busy living in the moment I guess.
Yes YES YESSSS to all of these! THIS is exactly why we take the time to document- and why we cant be so hard on ourselves- if a photo brings you some meaningful feeling- then it IS prefect!
This was a great post! The vacations we take are so random that I try to capture the "in the moment" moments. My mother in law loves to have us all pose and look perfect and I'm over here snapping away with a foggy lens because we are at an indoor pool haha.
Or sometimes there just are not any pictures because we went to the water park and left the phones and cameras in the car. Ditto of us riding roller coasters. Because sometimes it is more about having fun than taking pictures. For those pages, I have used art kits and journaling to tell the story.
Great tips. I was so stressed our last trip to China that I didn't take the photos that I wanted to. I've been doing my best at still getting the memories down for my kids.
YES! Me too!! Thats when those stock photos of the locations and a random happy face photo of the kiddos can come in as handy understudies!
