The parts I could keep and tie together -->
dog's body moves with breath as she snuggles against my leg
    stinker dog ran away
lost weight - harness slipped off - stubborn dog pulled on it
    hey, I can run
scared she would run out in front of a car
    scared she would be lost
game of chase - looking back at me, ran when I ran, walked when I walked
lost sight of her - no idea where she went
    prayer - find my dog
went home - frustration - got the car
saw her retracing her steps - did she realize I was not with her any more
she kept coming when she saw me
thanksgiving my dog is snuggled beside me

Wow... that is a scary experience for sure. So glad she is okay!! I like the tension you created with this. The combo of shorter lines and longer really made you feel the push/pull of the chase!

Thanks! It flowed from the exercise. I do need to scrap it and I have lots of pictures of her.

Here's one about a knex build that my boys and I did, I wanted to try recording it differently, so tried this.
I hear the clatter of toys being rummage.
I hear the excitement of play and treasures being unearthed
I feel reluctant to move, yet drawn to the sounds

I see the parts and the list,
I enjoy the finding and the hunting
I feel the companionship and shared joy
I also feel my back begin to scream, but am reluctant to stop
But stopping comes as hard and cold as the tile floor.

Rest and food has renewed us all.
I see you two are so excited
I remember that there are other ideas

    I see your joy
    I feel the anticipation
    I feel the hard peices
I hear the click as they come together
    I notice your concentration
    I see your persistance
I see how you try and try again
    I see your perserveance
I see how it is growing
    I see how parts fit
I see how it is all coming together

I feel tired and ready to be done
I hear the excitement in your voices as you realize how close we are
We finish and you want to try it out
    The buzzing excitement is loud
the clatter and clamor to find bowls
    the whir of motion
    the joy in success
    the excitement doesn’t end
    I hear the camera recording
I hear the need to tinker
    I see the modifications
I notice the new ways to use it.
I am amazed at my busy boys.
    Will have to fix spelling....

That is fabulous! You can really sense your feelings as you go through this. You did a great job capturing the different moments. :)

Eeee... I'm so excited that you all are playing along!!

Don't encourage her. LOL!!! Sorry Anne.
I just downloaded mine and maybe I'll join in. (Okay since seeing this I've had layout ideas that need journaling or a poem). So I thought I better come read this.

Ugg - 20 minutes to do the layout and two days to try to journal/write a poem (ha!). I appreciate any suggestions Kimberlee as I struggle with this on so. many. levels. Thank you, I think :)

I think you did a beautiful job. The page itself is gorgeous, and you definitely poured your heart into your words. I think I stopped breathing while I read it because of the tension. :) Thanks for joining in and sharing!

If you want to take it further, tune in next week when we talk about condensing and playing with order. I could see some additional interesting things if you play around with it a bit.

Waiting for the break of day
    The coffee machine starts up
Cats circle my feet anxious for breakfast
I concentrate on the smell of fresh brewed coffee
As I scoop their food onto little blue plates
Gizmo knows he will eat in the bathroom so she gets her share
He struts ahead of me tail high, leading the way.

I sit in my chair and open my iPad
Check mail, check Lilypad, check check
Lucy finishes eating and comes to me
she tucks herself under my arm beside me in the chair
    She cuddles for warmth
As the morning sun lights the back yard
    I read for a bit
Quiet time with my coffee and my small companion.
    The break of day

I must let Gizmo out of the bathroom

This is wonderful!! I love the details that totally give a glimpse into your day and make us able to 'see' what is going on. Good use of senses!

Managed to sit down and do the pages about the exercises. I tried to go in an Art Journal route but um, well, they are what they are, lol. . . and I likes em.
