I'm just curious if anyone else out there does weekly pages that aren't pocket style? This might be the wrong group for this question since it's a Project Life group and that, by default, is usually pocket based, but I've seen a few "one page a week" scrappers who don't do specifically pocket pages. Want to share ideas?
I used to. I just arranged my 7 photos however I liked and squeezed in the journaling wherever it looked good. Then I threw on a few embellishments related to the photos. I'm not fancy. That was in 2012. You can see my 2012 scrapbook here. Since then I've done pages about whatever events or feelings I'm inspired to scrap, plus monthly two page spreads, instead.
Scrapping w/Liz has 2 page weekly layouts that are not pocket. I really like them as you can emphasize an event on one page and finish up the week on the other. It just has more variety. This set is on sale tomorrow https://the-lilypad.com/store/Weekly-Life-2-Digital-Scrapbook-Templates.html
I have in the past. I know I'm seen some in the gallery too! I love Liz's templates for that look too.
Scrapping With Liz uses her templates to do her weekly layouts, so definitely check her gallery. My PL has been monthly, as of late. I'm working on 2014 right now. I did a couple monthly highlight double pages from that year.... (March-June of 2014 I did actually just do pocket style in the PL app, though.) I've been doing my own version of PL using Paislee Press templates that aren't true pocket pages. I have two versions - one is a page of photos for the week, and the other is a page of our daily view for the week. I only posted my first week for each in the gallery (because they're super similar each week) but I am mostly caught up so far.
