Sorry if we missed you in chat, but it isn't too late to join in on the challenge! The chat was hilarious, and we learned much: The Romans named June after Juno, the queen of the gods and patroness of marriage and weddings. July: July was named after Julius Caesar in 44 B.C. Previously, July was called “Quintilis," which is Latin for “fifth." August: August was named after Augustus Caesar in 8 B.C. That Italian sandwiches are da bomb! yes, food, trivia and chocolate were all covered! We played a fun game of proverbs. I would give a proverb and then the opposite proverb scrambled. ex: MONEY TALKS opposite LTAK SI HEAPC but we played for a while, laughing and giggling and such You can find a complete list of conflicting proverbs here. The challenge for the chat/game/scrap is to create a page with a BIG BOLD TITLE you must use at least 3 alphas you can use a proverb, but it is not mandatory. our dear vivi @Nemla has a way to help remember the challenge: It is now top of the hour 4pmEDT/1pmPDT. YOU have 24 hours to complete your page. Coupons will be handed out to those who post in the gallery and add your page here in the thread. I hope you accept and complete this challenge. I too am scrapping along with you, and will leave each and every one of you love and perhaps recipe links!
See it helps if you write it down ! Thanks for the fun chat. Piet Hein is my all time favourite poet, and it is a sort of proverb, well its wise !
