This is of my grandson on the playground of his school on Thursday afternoon.
I sat on a bench and snapped a photo of him in different location on the toy. This was the last shot.

My precious 160 pound bundle of fur, who wanted to play at 6:30 in the morning......

 

On my way home today I was giving my son a driving lesson. We stopped at a set of lights and I looked up to see this car in front of us.
Probably doesn't mean much to any of you.
My youngest daughters God Father was the most amazing human being I have ever known. He was the most emotionally mature person who never took anything personal. He loved with all his being. The greatest friend I have had the pleasure to know.
Sadly, in December 2006 he was killed by an IED in Iraq a week before he was due to come home. He was working for a civilian security company and on his previous trip home he bought a red Mazda RX-8. He had owned it a week before he had to go back and was dearly looking forward to driving it again. It was a rare thing for him to splurge on himself like that.
I saw this car today and my mind was immediately filled with joy. He always did that; brought joy. I just had to snap a pic to remind myself of the joys in life and that no matter what our loved ones are never far.

 

I took the first one about 2.5 years ago. They were so tiny

No, I'm training for a half marathon, which is two weeks from today. We were in the Adirondacks to close up our camp for the season.

 

Late last night, took a pic of Taz as he lay in my chair, chewing a bison bone. He was so sleepy but couldn't stop gnawing at the bone.
