Did you know that today is Chocolate Milkshake Day? I didn't, but now that I do I really want a chocolate milkshake with snickers bar chunks added...hehe. I think I may have to make a run to Dairy Queen or maybe even get a frosty from Wendys for lunch.

I'm not usually a chocolate ice cream gal, but I won't turn it down if it's offered. I normally go for a snickers bar shake or vanilla ice cream with chocolate and caramel added. I also love fruit shakes - strawberry, peach, huckleberry, etc.

How about you? What type of milkshakes do you like?

YUM! I like those too! I don't like oreos plain, but I love em in a milkshake!

How do you go about drinking a milkshake with candy chunks inside? LOL!

Strawberry milkshakes are my favorite. But, there is this little place up in the mountains called The Hungry Hut that makes the best banana milkshakes. Oh, they are so yummy.

I guess it would be similar to a Dairy Queen's Blizzard? :giggle Do you have DQ's in your neck of the woods? They are thick enough, you need a spoon!

Nope...no dairy queen's. We used to when I was a little girl but they've all closed down.

Wouldn't that just be ice cream then? lol

Yep, I'm talking about thicker milkshakes like the Dairy Queen Blizzards. Or a shake that is thicker than a milkshake you'd drink with a straw but thinner than ice cream. I know crazy/yummy to have candy chunks, but that's how shakes are in my neck of the woods.

I've never been a milk shake person, BUT if someone made a tiramisu flavored one I'd be ALL over that!! A DQ dipped cone sounds good right about now though!!

I've been thinking about chocolate milkshakes all day!! We do a calendar in my classroom at the start of every month with random holidays and then we go over what day it is every day and if it's something we can celebrate at school we do. Chocolate shakes was not something we couldn't pull off today, but I've been craving one since breakfast lol My very very favorite is chocolate/peanut butter!!! yummmmmmm

I make a lot of smoothies and I just started making chocolate malts for the grandkids and they love them. :circles I prefer malts to milkshakes; I like that additional malt flavor. I also put malt in a homemade cocoa mix (not that this has anything to do with the topic, milkshakes!) :hi5

I prefer my ice cream with some sort of chocolate chunks in it too! Not a huge fan of milkshakes.

I love malts too! Yummy. We have a DQ less than a mile from our house... with a drive thru. It's way to easy to go there! Lol! I too prefer blizzards from DQ over a shake, except that I do LOVE the banana shakes from Steak and Shake. I haven't been there for one in a really long time... now I want one. Oh and Sonic has a fabulous banana shake too with real bits of banana in there. Mmmmmm.

What malt do you use? I love making homemade malts, but haven't found any malt lately.
