Welcome to the August Journaling Challenge!!! Our summer in the states here is just flying, and I am enjoying EVERY. SINGLE. MINUTE. of it!!! As this post goes live we are headed off for a big family vacation - like with my husband's whole family and a few others! I can't wait to hang out with family, play on the beach and in the pool, and just relax! Have you gone on any vacations recently? If not, how about any day trips somewhere? This month's journal challenge revolves around vacation. Maybe it was a vacation from years ago that you want to scrap. For me, it is my previous vacation that I am trying to finish up the book for so that I am ready to get started scrapping this coming vacation as soon as we are home! So, your actual challenge is to scrap and journal about a vacation. Or if you are longing for a vacation it can be that too. I want to see at least a good sized paragraph on your page since this is a journalling challenge - not just one or two sentences! My page (from our Christmas vacation to Destin, FL): Please remember the monthly challenge rules: Your page must contain at least 75% Lilypad product. Your page should be posted to the Lilypad Gallery and then linked to the Challenge Layouts thread so it can be tracked, and to this thread. The Lilypad uses a percent system for our challenges; the number of challenges you participate in determines the store discount you will receive at the end of the month: 2 challenges = 10% off 4 challenges = 20% off 6 challenges = 30% off If you complete 7 challenges, you will receive a coupon for 30% off, plus you will be entered to win a guest spot on the Lilypad Creative Team! The first seven challenges will be posted on the first of the month; the eighth challenge is the BYOC challenge, which is posted on BYOC release day. Each page counts for one challenge (you cannot use one layout for multiple challenges).
This is a perfect challenge for me as I have so so so many vacations I want to record in digital pages.
Lots of journaling, but no photos yet. That will happen at the end of September, first week of October.
I'm loving seeing everyone's vacation pages. I wish I didn't have to work, because there's just so much to see and do in the beautiful world! The journaling is all on page 2 of this spread.
