So... I know tomorrow is August, but I'd like to leave the voting open until August 5th to give everyone a chance to vote. My computer dying slowed me down on getting this all set up on time. Oopsy! Since we are picking books for the next four months, you can vote on FOUR books above. I also can only set up a poll for 10 items so I had to pick only 10 of the suggested books. If you suggested more books, I picked the highest rated books according to Goodreads to narrow things down. Here are the choices:

My Grandmother Asked Me To Tell You She's Sorry
    The Handmaid's Tale
    The Stonecutter by Camilla Lackberg
    Collared by David Rosenfelt
    Unwind by Neal Shusterman
What Einstein Told His Cook by Robert L. Wolke
The Night Circus by Erin Morgenstern
The Radium Girls by Kate Moore
The Glass Castle by Jeannette Walls
The Lilac Girls by Martha Hall Kelly

I can't wait to see what we'll be reading together next! Anyone who likes to read is welcome to join in! Once we pick books, I'll start a thread for each and you can read them in any order you'd like and we can all discuss them as we read them. :) Happy voting!

So, that sounds interesting, but the reviews suggest reading the series in order. Have you read the others? Can you read it out of order?

Looks like some of these won't be available at my library for awhile but I was able to get Unwind right away....so that is my vote for August.

Just borrowed "The Lilac Girls" and "Night Circus" (which on second look I'm interested in ) and put Radium Girls on hold.

@bestcee Sorry it took long to answer,I kept getting logged out on Tuesday. No you can easily read them out of sequence, because the main story finishes with each book. However the characters and the place are the same,so it does .take sense to read them one after the other. I did read the Stone cutter first, and had no problem reading the two earlier ones after, nothing was spoilt because of it..
Looks like it doesn't matter now though Radium girls are on a winning streak.lol:cry

Thanks! I think I'll check it out regardless of the voting.
There's a lot of heavy books on our options this time!

I've started Unwind b/c that's the one that came in first on my library request. I can tell you that it's a YA book and is an easy read. I think I'll get through this one in no time at all.

I picked that one up last night from the library too. I haven't started it yet though. Glad to hear it's an easy read. :)

Oh geez! I read the description on GoodReads and was like "Phoosh! <<-- [actually a word] That's heavy.. Not sure I can handle that.." and I read some pretty grim stuff sometimes.. Perhaps I'll have to give it a second look.. :)
