Keeping it a simpler 6x8/ 2 4x6 prints format really helped. I kept everything in the app. Once i got so far, i was motivated to keep going, because i was so close to done!
Batch processing is helpful to me... I would do anywhere from a few weeks to 2 months at a time. Started with uploading videos to YouTube, then albums in Google photos, then journaling in Evernote. My process was something like download one week of photos to my tablet, make qr codes of my videos, make layouts in the PL app, copy and paste journaling from Evernote, and then export to dropbox. :)
My tablet was out of space quickly so while i did the process steps in batches, the actual page making was one week at a time, then i delete the week's photos. The only embellishing i allowed for this year was the weekly word overlay stamps i purchased from OLB "weekly edition"
