One of my favorite things to make as a gift is a mini-album. Every time I’ve made one and given it to family or friends, it’s been a big hit. Today I’m going to share a few methods of binding your mini album together.
One of the easiest ways to bind a mini album together is to punch holes on your pages with a hole puncher, then just bind it with some O-rings that you can find at the office supply store. I used this method when I made a "Love You” mini album as anniversary gift to my husband last year.

Here are some more examples of this O-ring type of binding.

I’ve also used a simple sewn binding with a needle and some embroidery thread. I made this tiny notebook as a Christmas Elf Party favor.

A third method of binding your mini book together is to do the sewn binding, but add an adhesive fabric paper to the outside binding. I made this mini album at an Amy Tan class.

The fourth binding method is to line up all your papers and sewn down the middle using a sewing machine. If you use this method, you’ll have to keep the number of pages fairly low. But I like how this looks.

A fifth method of binding a mini-album together is to simply use a binder, like this one.

And finally, I’ve seen many mini-albums bound together using the Bind-It-All or Cinch machines.

Now I’m inspired to go and try out some of these methods of putting together a mini-album that I haven’t tried yet!

Great post, Christine. Love all of these different albums. Being lazy, I think the O ring is my preferred method. You showed some really nice examples of everything and made me wish I had patience to make one. :)

I love how easy the Bind It All makes it. Perfectly lined up punches and easy to turn pages with the coils.
